During the pandemic, waiting times for surgery increased drastically, overwhelming the hospital system, which still is relying mainly on manual planning of procedures. A new IT system from Getinge helped change that. Using machine learning and hospital data it prioritized and shortened the wait. Making it possible to help more patients faster.
